Confluence is a BRAND NEW coffee shop located in the southern part of Winston Salem, but we’re actually in Davidson County. Many people have wondered what Confluence really means. Well, Mr. Webster says that “confluence” is the meeting point or conjunction place for streams or rivers. So to us, Confluence is the cultural hub of “where coffee and life collide”.
We are located right next to the new Sheetz & McDonalds on NC Hwy 150. Whether you’re an early bird or a night owl, you’ll find our hours sure to fit your schedule. We are open six days a week (Monday - Thursday - 7 am - 10 pm, & Friday-Saturday 7am-11 pm).
Confluence is a Non-profit coffee shop that is owned and operated by The River Church. All profits go towards supporting the needs of our community through local non-profit organizations. In other words, once the bills are paid, at the end of each month, every dime is given away to the community!
All of our pastries are made locally in Winston Salem and we proudly brew Java Estate coffee located in Wilmington, NC. For a full list of our menu and catering options, click “menu” on the top of the page..

What will you experience?
- Indoor playground
We have an entire room dedicated to creating a safe place for kids while parents enjoy a great cup of coffee. We realize that there are not many restaurants that focus on being family friendly these days; that’s why we are pleased to provide a coffee shop that’s also kid friendly.
Our indoor playground has two Little Tikes playground sets, a Thomas the Train table, and blocks. The floor is cushioned for safe playing. Feel free to enjoy your beverages inside the playground or sit in the larger dining area and watch your kids playing safely through the glass wall.
- Seating
We have four comfortable couches, one incredibly relaxing recliner, and 16 tables which create a great atmosphere conducive to relaxing, doing business, school work, or just hanging out with friends. Our dining room can comfortably seat 50+ people. We also have two flat screen televisions which provide an opportunity to watch your favorite show or stay up to date with the news of the world
- Wifi hotspot
The entire shop offers FREE wireless access to the patrons of the shop.
- Conference room
Our spacious, comfortable, conference room can be reserved by any person, business, or organization up to three hours for free. It is equipped with state of the art audio/video equipment, with a board room style table that will seat 10-12 people (the room will hold 20+), and a dry erase board. Perfect for your next business meeting, Bible Study, or birthday party.
- Business center
Forget your laptop? Want to check your email? Need to print out an important document? with our business center, you will have access to two computers free to use for our patrons. We also have a black and white laser jet printer for your convenience (10 cents per page).
- Concert venues
We have two stages available for shows & concerts. For more intimate settings, our upper level stage is perfect, which seats 75+ and standing room for approximately 125 people. Confluence UNDERGROUND offers a concert hall. Check for additional details below.
- Confluence UNDERGROUND
Need a space to hold a meeting, training class, reunion, banquet, etc? we have multiple rooms which can be rented out, including a fully equipped kitchen area. (rental fees do apply).
- The Cabin: The cabin is our banquet room and will seat approximately 50 people and is perfect for your next meeting. This space also has an attached kitchen.
- Concert Hall: Our concert hall seats 125 people with a full stage, movie screen, professional sound, video, and lighting equipment. This space is perfect for your next concert, business training meeting, homeowners association meeting, wedding, or other special event.
