About
Although Confluence is definitely a coffee shop, we find that phrase… well…a little limiting sometimes. Over the past year, thousands of us have found a new place to experience life – Confluence. Confluence, once a word that most people had never heard of, has become common in the vocabulary of this community. Confluence’s vision was born out of a desire to create a place where the people of this community could come and do life together.
Confluence, by its very definition, means the point at which different rivers join together. So for us, Confluence is simply a place where people from all walks of life can do life together. Around Confluence we like to call it, “where coffee and life collide”.
Although Confluence is a business, we’re not any ordinary business. Confluence is a Non-profit coffee shop. Confluence is owned and operated by The River Church, which seeks to be an integral part of this community, giving this community a place to share life while giving back any profit to local organizations who are in need.
We are conveniently located right next to the new Sheetz & McDonalds on NC Hwy 150 and are NOW open 7 days a week (Mon-Thurs: 8 am – 9 pm; Fri: 8-10pm; Sat: 9-10pm; Sun: 1 pm – 8 pm)

Indoor playground
What coffee shop has an actual Indoor Playground? Confluence does! That’s right we have an entire room dedicated to creating a safe place for kids while parents enjoy a great cup of coffee. We realize that there are not many restaurants that focus on being family friendly these days; that’s why we are pleased to provide a coffee shop that’s also kid friendly. Our indoor playground has two Little Tikes playground sets and many other toys for your children. The floor is cushioned for safe playing.
Seating
We have four comfortable couches, one incredibly relaxing recliner, and 16 tables which create a great atmosphere conducive to relaxing, doing business, school work, or just hanging out with friends. Our dining room can comfortably seat 50+ people. We also have two flat screen televisions which provide an opportunity to watch your favorite show or stay up to date with the news of the world.
Two FREE Conference rooms
Confluence has two FREE Conference room for you to rent. Our spacious, comfortable, conference rooms can be reserved by any person, business, or organization up to two hours for free. It is equipped with state of the art audio/video equipment, with a board room style table that will seat 10-12 people (the room will hold 20+), and a dry erase board. Perfect for your next business meeting, Bible Study, or birthday party.
Free Wifi & Computers
Forget your laptop? Need to check your email? Want to log on to Facebook or MySpace? Confluence offers two free computers to our patrons. Additionally, Confluence is equipped with FREE Wifi, so bring your laptop or iPhone and chill out with us for a few hours. (FREE wireless access is only available to the patrons of the shop).
Live Music Every Friday & Sat Night
Confluence has live music each and every Fri & Sat night. Whether you like Jazz, Classic Rock, Pop, Punk, Christian, Country, or Screamo, we’ve had it all. Check our “Live Music & Events” page to see our most up to date schedule.We have two stages available for shows & concerts. For more intimate settings, our upper level stage is perfect, which seats 75+ and standing room for approximately 125 people. Confluence UNDERGROUND offers a concert hall.

We have three rooms to rent in Confluence UNDERGROUND: Banquet Hall (seats up to 60) with an attached kitchen and a Concert Hall (seats up to 125). This space is perfect for you to hold a meeting, training class, reunion, banquet, etc.
